May 3, 2022 (Newswire) -- Applications for the 2022 IELTS Prize Scholarship, jointly conducted by the British Council in East Asia, have begun.

This year, IELTS test takers from East Asia who will start their undergraduate or postgraduate degree programs at home and abroad this year and go on to higher education institutions that accept IELTS scores as an admission requirement are eligible to apply. The countries belonging to the East Asian region are △Korea △Hong Kong (including Macau) △Indonesia △Malaysia △Philippines △Singapore △Taiwan △Thailand △Vietnam.

In this selection, a total of 12 million won in scholarships has been prepared for domestic scholarship students, and a total of three students will be awarded differentially. The application deadline is July 15. In order to apply, you must submit the online application form received from the scholarship official website and a score report of at least 6 points in each of the four subjects of the IELTS test hosted by the British Council in East Asia after April 1, 2021.

The British Council introduced the IELTS Prize scholarship program in 2011 and has produced about 330 winners so far. They have completed or are in the process of completing their studies at the universities of their choice all over the world, from the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Canada to the Netherlands, France and Singapore. The majors are also diverse, including regional studies, aerospace engineering, epidemiology of disease, women's studies, business administration, biotechnology, education, art, and acting.
