“I want to return the grace I received from my professors in college to my juniors”
“I wanted to give back the many blessings I received from my professors while I was in college, and I’m glad I was able to put it into practice.”
Director Shin Sang-yoon of Gwangju Bonpet Animal Hospital (Jeonbuk National University College of Veterinary Medicine, class 05) returned his gratitude to the department and juniors for his alma mater and his teachers.
Director Shin visited Jeonbuk National University on the afternoon of May 12 and donated 10 million won to the development fund to be used for the development of the veterinary school and improvement of the educational environment for students. Jeonbuk National University held a donation ceremony on the same day, and President Kim Dong-won directly delivered a plaque of appreciation to express his gratitude for the donation.
Director Shin, who was born in Gwangju and graduated from Jeonbuk National University veterinary school, said he wanted to repay his gratitude for the help he received from the professors at the time with a donation after opening the veterinary hospital.
In particular, the special relationship with the current dean of veterinary school, Andong-chun Andong, who was a priest during college, led to this donation.
Director Shin said, "I think I can do it if I have the will and mind, regardless of the circumstances in which I can donate," adding, "I'm happy to be able to return a lot of things I received as a student.“
He continued, “I want my juniors to study in a better environment, and I especially hope that they will seek advice from professors and go out to find things to learn.”
